Ashes to Ashes hospitality for a celebration of The Room by the River - Southbank, hosted by Ricky Ponting.
Join Ricky Ponting and friends to celebrate cricket’s oldest and most fiercely contested rivalry – The Ashes.
As the next instalment of Ashes history fast approaches, the excitement and tension builds as England cricket fans anticipate the arrival of the Australians for the 2009 Ashes. During the week of the Lord’s Ashes Test, Ricky Ponting is hosting his very own Ashes celebration at one of England’s most historic venues, The Tower of London, in aid of the Ponting Foundation. Ashes to Ashes hospitality includes a table at the event with food and beverages.
The Ponting Foundation raises money for the treatment and care of children with cancer and is committed to making a real difference in the fight against childhood cancer. Two of the Ponting Foundation’s primary recipients are the Children’s Cancer Institute of Australia for Medical Research (CCIA) and redkite.
This evening promises to be the cricket event of the summer and the only formal appearance Ricky will be making to celebrate The Ashes and the 2009 series. Ashes to Ashes hospitality will give you the exclusive chance to hear from some of the greats of the game, past and present, as they recount tales of some of the greatest Ashes battles.
Ricky will be joined by past and present players from England and Australia to help him celebrate in his own unique style.
