my husband and i have just had 2 nights at this wonderful hotel. very clean, rooms spotless, breakfast amazing. staff were very polite, could not have asked for better service, thank you all at the britannia. p.s. happy hour brill.

This hotel looks good from the outside and the foyer looked pleasing to the eye, but there was no welcome to the hotel, no assistance with baggage,when we went upto our room the decor was old and worn the carpets threadbear in places, first impressions of the room was delappedatted, the bed cover was old and fadded this for a four star was disgraceful, the rest of the hotel facilities seemed reasonable but we didn't stay long enough to find out how they were as we checked out by 11pm as we weren't told that the London marathon was going to stop us leaving in the morning when we checked in, and we were told by reception staff at 7pm that we would have to move our car by 7am the next morning, after they allowed us to park in the parking and allowing us to believe that we could leave it there till the next day till we checked out. the attitude of the staff was that they didn't care less. we chose this hotel as we had a romantic weekend planned, as my husband had just returned from a contract in Ghana,the way we were treated by staff spoiled our whole weekend and we chose rather than staying we would drive 1half hours to sleep at back at home. I think their staff need to be sent to a third wold country to see how customer service is delivered!!
