Stayed in this hotel on the 9th and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Took the option to upgrade to a junior suite which was well worth it and they even threw in (not literally of course) a complimentary bottle of wine.
Our room overlooked the Strand and the whole convenience of being in that location was excellent.
Didn't eat in the hotel as there were so many places to dine locally so can't comment on the food, but the room was light airy and very comfortable.
Found all but one of the staff incredibly friendly and helpful and I have no hesitation in recommending the Charing Cross to potential guests.
