Millwall Park Fireworks Display

Head to the Millwall Park fireworks display to see the skies about the Isle of Dogs lit up in a stunning, traditional show.

Family event
Bringing beautiful waterfalls, loud rockets, sparkling Roman candles and bright chrysanthemums to the skies above East London, the Millwall Park fireworks display is bound to be a popular event with kids, families and local residents eager to celebrate Bonfire Night in traditional style. The crowds will be out in force to see the fireworks at this community event, organised by Tower Hamlets Council.

Community fireworks
Tower Hamlets Council will not be hosting a display at Victoria Park for 2011's Guy Fawkes Night, and will instead be hosting three smaller, separate displays across the borough. This means that the Millwall Park fireworks display should have a real community feel, with local residents able to spend Bonfire Night close to home with friends and family.

Guy Fawkes Night
Along with nearby displays at Bartlett Park and Weavers Fields, the Millwall Park fireworks display celebrates Bonfire Night with plenty of loud and colourful explosions in the sky. 2011 marks the 406th anniversary of the failed attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament while King James I was attending the state opening.

Autumnal fun
Bonfire Night is traditionally one of the highlights of the autumn calendar, where kids and fireworks fans of all ages wrap up warm and head out to an impressive display. The Millwall Park event is free to attend, which means that all ages can enjoy a night out that won't cost the earth.

The Millwall Park fireworks display takes place from 7.30pm, Saturday 5th November 2011. Admission is free.
