Busta gives tickets to volunteers

News image
Busta Rhymes is to fire up London's Royal Albert hall for free.

He won't be torching the building, but bringing his blitzing style of rap to an audience of 5,000, none of which have paid to attend the event.

Instead, fans who want to see hip hop megastar Busta take to the stage will volunteer on community projects and receive tickets for the gig in exchange.

Orange RockCorps, a social enterprise group, is setting up 50 projects around the country where fans can earn their tickets for the September 26th concert.

One of the first opportunities to earn tickets to the concert, which will also feature a further three top acts, will take place at Winton Primary School near King;s Cross.

Volunteers will help transform the school's roof into a playground and vegetable garden.

Kanye West, Panic at the Disco, Kelis and Nas have all taken part in Orange RockCorps schemes in the US, where the arrangement has been running for four years.
