Huddersfield have moved into third place in the Super League table after beating Wakefield 30-14 at The Galpharm Stadium.
The Giants led 12-4 at the break after tries from Scott Moore and David Faiumu, with Scott Grix responding for the Wildcats.
Huddersfield sealed victory with second-half tries from Faiumu, David Hodgson and Liam Fulton, while Brett Hodgson slotted over five goals.
The Wildcats, who remain in sixth position, scored further tries through Tony Martin and Matt Peterson.
Elsewhere, Bradford's miserable season continued as they lost 38-40 to Castleford at Odsal.
Dean Widders touched down eight minutes from time to clinch victory for the Tigers, after Michael Shenton, Rangi Chase, Jordan Thompson, and Joe Westerman had earlier scored tries.
The Bulls scored tries through Semi Tadulala, Dave Halley, Nick Scruton, Michael Worrincy, Sam Burgess, and Ben Jeffries (2).
But it was not enough to see them remain two places off the bottom, while Castleford climb into ninth spot.
