Tottenham goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes will be fit for this Saturday's game with Fulham, according to Harry Redknapp, despite being stretchered off against Liverpool.
Gomes was injured as he came out to save at the feet of Philipp Degen during the second half.
He lay motionless on the pitch, leading to a long stoppage while he was treated by club physios.
And the Brazilian was also given a warm round of applause by both sets of supporters as he was carried off on a stretcher.
However, despite the apparent seriousness of the injury, Redknapp said he expects Gomes to be fit for Saturday's trip to Craven Cottage after revealing it is no more than a facial wound.
"He's not too bad," the manager said.
"He took a bang in the mouth but he should be okay for the weekend."
During the match, Gomes - who was mistake-prone all evening - could be said to have been at fault for both Reds goals in Spurs' 4-2 victory.
Liverpool scored twice through headers - from Damien Plessis and Sami Hyypia - and Gomes should have done better after failing to get to either cross.
