As London prepares to take over the spotlight from Vancouver's Winter Games, the Events 2012 Development Group has revealed plans to extend reach to more Olympic-related organisations.
The industry body has welcomed support from over 350 members to date, including the Natural History Museum and Twickenham Stadium.
David Sharpe, managing director of the London Eye and head of the Events 2012 Development group, said the extended network aims to ensure the UK events industry continues to be at the heart of the Olympic Games.
He added: "In recent months, our emphasis has moved from information gathering and communication to the visitor experience and delivery as we head towards the 900 day milestone and as the focus moves from Vancouver to London."
The London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, which is responsible for preparing and staging the 2012 events in the capital, is based in Canary Wharf along with the Olympic Delivery Authority.
