MCR fans join Black Parade on Daily Mail

News image
My Chemical Romance fans are planning a march through London in protest at the way the band has been depicted in the media.

Fans of the band which reached number one in the UK with Welcome to the Black Parade, will start their protest march at Hyde Park's West Pond and will traipse through London before picketing the offices of The Daily Mail.

The right-leaning newspaper has been singled out for being the "worst offender" according to the MCR Buzznet Community, pointing out that the paper referred to My Chemical Romance as a 'suicide cult' band when it covered the suicide of 13-year-old Hannah Bond.

According to the newspaper bands such as Good Charlotte and Blink 182 are also part of the "emo"- or emotional music - phenomenon.

According to organisers, at least 300 so-called emos have confirmed their attendance at the march.
