Ian Poulter has vowed never to play in the French Open again after blaming a photographer for destroying his hopes of victory.
The Englishman finished third in Paris after carding 67, three strokes behind the leaders Martin Kaymer and Lee Westwood. But he was furious that a camera clicked three times when he skewed his approach to the 15th into the water.
Poulter was still furious with the press photographer when he bogeyed the 18th to finish on ten-under par.
The 33-year-old branded the photographer an "idiot" for running his week.
"It's frustrating when you get a novice cameraman out here this week. It's one I want to win and some stupid cameraman makes it difficult for you," he said.
"He's trying to mess with our livelihoods. I'm playing for world ranking points and then you get some idiot, I've played here loads of times and I fight with them every year.
"It's so frustrating that they are let in. The spectators were magnificent, awesome and he ruins the whole week.
"What are you going to do? I'm going to take the tournament off my schedule."
Kaymer pocketed the winners' cheque after beating Westwood in a play-off.
