Harlequins rugby league have signed loanee Ryan Esders on a permanent deal until the end of the 2010 Super League season.
The 23-year-old has been on loan from Hull Kingston Rovers since July after his initial one-month switch was extended until the end of the 2009 campaign.
And Esders said he is "really pleased" to have agreed terms with Quins after a promising time in his six appearances since arriving at the Stoop.
"During my loan spell here I've really enjoyed working with all the players and coaches and am very happy to be staying," said Esders, who has scored two tries for the club to date.
"The coaching staff have been great with me, especially Brian McDermott who has been very helpful and takes his time to work on my game.
"Harlequins is a great club with a really strong development side, something I think many players, including myself, don't appreciate until they come down to London."
Quins head coach Brian McDermott added: "Esders is a promising young player and has impressed whilst he has been on loan here.
"We're glad he has chosen to further his career at Harlequins."
Esders is the latest piece in the jigsaw for the 2010 season, following the contract agreements with captain Rob Purdham and star players Chad Randall and Danny Orr.
