Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has insisted that he does not want Robbie Keane to go back out on loan when the Irishman returns from Celtic in the summer.
Keane joined Celtic in January on loan until the end of the season and Redknapp wants to hold onto the former Spurs captain.
He told the Scottish Sun: "I don't see us loaning Robbie out again. I certainly would not want it to be happening. Robbie's only on loan until the end of this season as far as we're concerned. We want him back so in my mind there's no way of another loan deal.
"We paid a lot of money for him. So it's not something I see happening. It would obviously be up to the chairman but I couldn't see it being a possibility."
Redknapp is without England striker Jermain Defoe for Saturday's game against Stoke at the Britannia stadium and will have to rely on the partnership of Peter Crouch and Roman Pavlyuchenko.
Pavlyuchenko won praise from Redknapp over his recent performances but the Russian's future at White Hart Lane is still uncertain.
He looked set to leave London in the January transfer window and is reportedly still being chased by Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow.
Redknapp said: "Technically, he is a fantastic player, he's got the appetite for the game.
"The transfer window came and went and he realised he wasn't going back to Russia and he's knuckled down. He's working harder, without a doubt."
When asked on the forward's future Redknapp appeared confused himself, saying: "I don't know, I don't know... I think he's been wanting to go back to Russia... you know, the way he was playing and training and everything else, to be honest with you.
"He hasn't done himself any harm, that's for sure, with the goals. Everybody must be looking at him and thinking, well..."
