A 27-year-old shop worker in Manchester has been shot dead in an attack, police said.
Officers were called to Brookhouse Wines in Winton at 21:00 BST on Saturday after several shots were fired.
The victim was taken to hospital but died shortly after. Police said ten people were arrested and remain in custody for questioning.
Det Supt Rebekah Sutcliffe, of Greater Mancheter Police, told the BBC: "This is an absolutely horrific attack. Every indication suggests that, tragically, he was genuinely an innocent bystander who was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
"There is no reason to think that he would be a target and no indication that it was gang related. We can speculate that it was a robbery gone wrong but nothing was stolen so at the moment we have no motive."
The gunman escaped in a blue Mazda car, which was later found burned out on Laburnum Avenue, Wigan.
Police have not yet identified the victim.
