Victoria Beckham trounces Paris' smell

News image
It was a London battle of the luxury stores and celebrity launches as Victoria Beckham and Harrods went head to head with Paris Hilton and Selfridges.

Posh Spice was in the luxury Knightsbridge store to promote her range of dVb jeans, while the heiress swanned into Selfridges to give snappers a whiff of her new fragrance.

But, while Paris put in all the effort, donning a skin tight white dress and oversized headdress and even dragging boyfriend Good Charlotte frontman Benji Madden and her parents for support, Victoria Beckham took the day.

According to the Sun, the socialite, best known for night-vision videos and jail stints, did not draw as many cameramen to the Dorchester hotel as she would have liked.

Posh, on the other hand, was all smiles and excitement despite an unrelated anti-fur protest taking place outside the store.

She told the paper: "I'm getting a chance from really cool, credible people in a cool career. If you work really hard it happens."

Posh recently revealed that she and David Beckham are getting involved in their children's school.

She said: "I'd rather go to Pumpkin Patch at school than dinner at the Ivy."
