Do you wash your hands when you get to work? Chances are you belong to the 92% of Brits who don’t, and unintentionally spread the germs picked up on your commute to work across the office every day.

That’s why Durable UK is running Computer Cleaning Week® (22-27 September) for the third year in a row, fronted by popular TV GP Dr Hilary Jones, encouraging computer users up and down the country to clean up their workstation hygiene habits.

Durable commissioned a YouGov survey of workers around the UK, which revealed that an astonishing 50% of full time workers clean their hands four times or less during an average working day, whereas experts recommend a minimum of ten washes for optimum health. This revolting fact means that the majority of us are spreading the germs found on our hands onto our computer equipment every day without even realising the potential health risks lurking beneath our fingertips.
