Why do we love Infected? It is because they’re one of the most electrifying full-on psy trance bands on the planet right now? Or is it because they’re such innovative producers, mixing up all styles to make eclectic masterpieces like ‘I Am The Supervisor’, ‘Cities Of The Future’ and ‘Becoming Insane’? Whatever: they’re officially the biggest psy trance DJs in the world — as voted in the 2007 DJ Magazine Top 100 Poll, where they cruised in at No.9, as well as winning the newly created psy trance category. Having first entered the Poll in 2005 at a staggering No.26, it’s safe to say they’re one of the top names in the dance music scene today, with DJmag’s Allan McGrath describing them as “the Psy-Trance scene’s only true megastars.”

Last August Infected headlined the massive 070707 Antiworld Festival with an incredible live performance, then smashed up the DJ Magazine Top 100 Awards party with a DJ set at seOne in London in October. Their own UK event — Infecting the UK — was a complete sell-out at London’s Coronet last November. They return to the Coronet on Saturday 9th August for We Love Infected 001, which promises to be another sell-out success story.

After the last Psychedelic Academy many of you said you wanted more psy trance at Antiworld events — so that’s exactly what we’re giving you. PsyCraft are true psy trance pioneers, having been with HOMmega Records since the beginning, defining the genre with albums like ‘Gravitech’ (2001), ‘New Moves’ (2004) and ‘Computech’ (2006). This event marks the UK launch of their incredible new album ‘Art Of Work’ and is not to be missed. For a free download of the album check out www.psycraft.info

Talamasca aka DJ Lestat is one of our most requested DJs and we can’t wait to see him showcase his latest material alongside some classics. In Latin Talamasca means ‘animal mask’ and it’s also the secret society of psychic detectives featured in Anne Rice’s books. Lestat, of course, is the protagonist of The Vampire Chronicles who also has mind powers — so his label is called Mind Control and he’ll be exerting this incredible force over the dancefloor at the Coronet to give you a rare out of this world performance.

Still in the main room, London-based psy project Dejavoo continue to celebrate their debut album, ‘Future Shock’. The new album infuses tech and electro with full on psy to create nine incredibly powerful dancefloor stormers, already tried and tested at dancefloors all over the world from Brazil (Xxxperience) to Germany (Full Moon).

James Compressor’s latest material is some of the best full-on psy we’ve heard in a long time. Having cut his teeth on the vibrant free party scene, he takes over the main stage for a live set of his new tracks. You have been warned: this is not for the faint-hearted! Meanwhile our faithful ressies Sutekh and Gaba will co-ordinate things around the live sets to make sure you don’t stop dancing for a second!

But of course there’s more to an Antiworld Event then psy trance: as well as a rare three-hour set from techno god Chris Liberator, up and coming breaks producer Freshold aka Johnnie Parker will show you why he’s the next big thing on the breaks scene. Having taken the scene by storm with his track ‘Bring It On’ this lad is meant for big things — bring it on indeed!

Diego CK’s slogan is “Live in after hours” and he’s going to be bringing his signature deep electro and minimal techno to the party. In short, there’s a musical style for everyone over four rooms of the latest minimal, electro, breaks, techno, prog and chill.

Finally, our outdoor chill-out area promises to be one of the highlights of the summer — this is one festival we promise you won’t need your wellies for! With the UK’s weather becoming increasingly unpredictable you can relax and have a smoke outside safe in the knowledge that there’s shelter right there should the heavens open.

See you on the dancefloor!
