Win Tickets to see Noisettes play at O2 Academy Bournemouth

Closing: 17/02/2010
Following an ecstatically-received UK tour that culminated in two sold out dates at Shepherds Bush Empire, Noisettes have just confirmed a new headline tour for 2010. The band will be performing to 20,000 fans at 12 shows in February and March.

Noisettes recently celebrated the 250,000th sale of their second album, Wild Young Hearts. The band have fast been cementing their reputation as one of the most exciting live acts in the UK and one of 2009’s great breakthrough artist success stories.

Noisettes are Shingai Shoniwa (vocals, bass), Dan Smith (guitar) and Jamie Morrison (drums).

Described as ‘the best live band in Britain’ by The Guardian, a recent London show saw Shoniwa charge in to the audience playing guitar and sing clinging to a ladder suspended from the ceiling, a nod to the circus skills she learnt in her teens.

“The idea of putting on a proper show seems to be missing from a lot of young bands at the moment,” says Shoniwa. “We always go that extra mile to give the crowd a night they’ll never forget. I love artists like Hendrix and Bowie who fussed over their hair and took time choosing an outfit.

“We’re not trying to be trendy – we want to make music for everyone – but we put effort in to every aspect of being in a band. Our aim is to prove that pop music can still be alternative and exciting. With this album, I know we can do that.”
