Appalling, appalling, appalling service. I wish I could have filmed the scene.I used to come here for a coffee during the day due to the relaxed (read empty) vibe where you could spend an hour working without interruption. If you offer Wifi in a coffee bar do be prepared for this. This time however I entered and was immediately 'intercepted' at the door. 'are you still serving breakfast?' was met with an incredulous'no'Undeterred I asked 'would it be possible to have a coffee?''grunt' he replied.Ordering a coffee seemed akin to professing a love for the devil in a church. With that I took a seat at the nearest table. At this point it was worth noting there was NOT ONE PERSON in the place. Apparently this table was reserved. I moved to another table. Immediately another member of staff whisked over to ask 'do you really need to sit at a table?'. I treated this as more philosophical in nature. Did I? I mean it would be preferable. Clearly the potential for opening a bag that could contain a laptop was truly terrifying.Anyhow as I visibly seethed in the corner (I am still here) I have watched not a single person arrive. Not one table has become occupied. The threat of a table becoming occupied seems a distant prospect.I must say I sympathise with the local coffee drinkers on this one.Long may people vote with their feet.St Chad's - I do look forward to seeing your venue going under after my treatment today. For the record this is the very first online review I have ever given.

went to some drinks here last week - and I have to say its a lovely looking venue with a nice feel to it. However the atmosphere changes a bit once you go and actually get a drink!

The bar staff were really lacking in personality and charm - I was sorry to ask for a drink and sorry that they did me the favour of coming to work that evening.

Perhaps a few training sessions on customer service and failing that a personality transplant wouldn't go amiss and then the experience may be lifted a little.

This place is great, ive been going fairly regularly for the last 12 months. Generally good, polite bar staff. Nice, post work crowd, some good beers on tap. Never seen any trouble there. Can get quite lively later on (post 10pm) on fri nights with dancing in front of the bar. Good variety of music. Def recommend as an alternative to the local pubs. Seems to be quite female friendly as there are often all-female groups in there.

What a fantastic bar 6 St Chads Place is, tucked away in the back streets of Kings Cross. The interior of this small warehouse is really cool, the crowd is a mix of suits and denim, and background music makes 6 St Chads Place the palce to sit and talk with friends. I highly recommend it.

6 St Chad's Place is a haven in King's Cross. The bar has cool decor and a friendly relaxed atmosphere. There's excellent music at 6 St Chad's Place played from one of the bar ladies' iPods!

6 St Chad's Place really sucks. One large square room full of tables, completely lacking in atmosphere and even worse, the bar staff are rude.

6 St. Chad's Place - a new bar and restaurant - is a godsend. King's Cross has been crying out for somewhere like this for years!

It's a cool, laid back space with a relaxed atmosphere and a groovy mural on the back wall. Lights are a bit bright in the loos though, especially after a few cocktails!
