I went to this bar last night... Having visited this bar several times over the last couple of years and have always had a good experience... Unfortunately on this occasion the manager was VERY rude and ruined the evening.

Four of us visited the bar and had two rounds of drinks. A friend with us was dancing on the seated area, and was asked to stop dancing there. Which he did immediately and sat down. We were in the process of finishing drinks and putting coats on to leave. The manager then informed our group that we must leave (very aggressively I am still unclear why). He then radioed the Doormen, and stated 'come and drag these people out of here'.

At this stage I explained to him there is no need as we are about to leave my friend is just coming back from the toilet. He held his head in the air and completely ignored me whilst waving his hand at the doorman to come over... It was the reaction I would expect if we had started a fight or done something illegal...

Given that there were various groups of very young people, very drunk, jumping around, it was surprising that a comparably quiet table of 2 adult couples in there 30s where treated in this manner.

Great bar, absolutely ruined by a bar-manager, who I can only say does not understand the basic concept of customer service for 'paying customers'...

Despite previous good experiences in this bar, I will never EVER spend a penny in there again... I have never been treated like this- it was shocking and totally unnecessary and totally unprofessional.

I went to this bar last night (Saturday) with a few girl friends and had a really good evening. We usually head to bars around Mayfair and Soho so we didn't know what to expect. We arrived at 9:30 and it was already quite busy. The doorman said it was guest list only, although there wasn't anything on their website that suggested this. But he was quite happy to let us in regardless.
The bar has a nice vibe - sociable, music not too loud, lots of seating areas, great cocktails and not too pricey. Regarding the dress code, the girls seem to make more effort than the guys, but nothing new there! You could still throw on a dress and heals and not look out of place as the venue is open until 3am and has more of a club feel. The music was varied, quite commercial, always with a housey twist to it.
Overall, a great bar. If I venture back to Clapham I would definitely pay this place a visit.

I have recently discovered this little treasure and it is an absolute find!

My partner and I have been 5times now for dinner and it is amazing every time. The steak is so delicious and great value for money (thankfully prices have dropped back down) The food comes within a reasonable time period (unless you order well done steak - which is your own fault!) and the cocktails are so yummy!

The staff are friendly and accomodating and always greet you with a smile. It is definitely one of the best spots along the high street.

I recently organised a 30th birthday party here for my wife. I was attracted by not having to pay for an area even on a Saturday night. What I did not expect was the fantastic service and the willingness of the manager to help make the evening so memorable. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Before 10pm the fantastic cocktails are about a fiver and for a Saturday night in clapham that is cheap! I will definitely be making this a priority stop next time I'm out in Clapham.

We went to 64th back in Oct 2010 for my boyfriends birthday. We had booked an area and whilst at first, they had given us the seats downstairs at the front, we said we'd requested some upstairs and the manager quickly moved us. After that, the staff were very attentive towards our group and allowed us to expand into the area at the side as well once another group left.

The bar service was fast (esp as the guys are making cocktails) and the table service is also very good.
Its a smaller bar than I had imagined but meant the crowd were controlled and it never got uncomfortably busy. I really enjoyed the night and would recommend. Only negatives was that the music was really loud, so much so you couldn't talk to person next to you with yelling and toilets are tiny. It wouldn't out me off going back though!

I've been to this bar around 4 times, and have really enjoyed myself. The crowd is fun, the waiters are attentive, & fairly quick with the drinks, and the music is generally really good. Most of the cocktails are delicious - although there are a couple which weren't pleasant at all! A little pricey but not extortionate. The dance floor is tiny, but you can squeeze in and have a dance anyway. I've only ever been turned away once (group of 3girls)- but that was because it was guest list only that night, and the bouncers said I could come back after midnight and they'd let me in for free - fair deal. I'd recommend a night out here!

Went for dinner and drinks last night (Tuesday). The food and the cocktails were brilliant, it's just a shame that it was let down by the service. The waiter was quite gracious when we explained that we wouldn't be paying the service charge, and promised better service next time we came in, but we couldn't help feeling that he didn't know what he'd been doing wrong. One of our party had to go to the bar to order her drink, to ask for the bill, and then to ask for the credit card machine. We had to ask for the dessert menu, were told there was only one and that he couldn't remember exactly what it was, and then he didn't come back to ask if we actually wanted the mysterious pud.

Also strange is the fact that the bar staff claim not to serve any soft drinks except for virgin cocktails. Though the non-alcoholic drink was left off the bill - maybe a mistake, maybe a concession to the fact that she only wanted a diet coke!

I will definitely go back once more, as the food is excellent value and delicious, but if the service isn't any better it would probably be the last time.

Ive decided im not going to sit back and let people bad mouth 64th and Social anymore! On the contrary to the past few reviews I wanted to congratulate 64th and social for its excellent service and attention to detail. My flat mate and I are regulars down at this neat little bar, taking advantage of everything it has to offer. Food, drinks, service is all on the money. Tuesday night for my flat mate and I is Beer and Steak night and 64th always delivers a perfect meal and great ambience.

64th and social on a Saturday has got to be the best place on the high street, I was only there last weekend and had a ball. Great Tunes, great Drinks and the women. Wow! As for the doormen they are no different to every other venue on the high street on a Saturday night! I've leant that if you want to go out late on a saturday night and want entry to most venues in London you have to bring girls or have a decent ratio of guys to girls, no guy or girl likes walking into a nice bar/club when its full of dudes, do they? I sure don't.
