Don't book a table it's useless, they'll let you down. If you enjoy drinking an over rated cocktail whilst sitting uncomfortably! Then this is the place for you!

I was half tempted to give this place a bad review to stop people from spoiling it!

This is far and away the best bar I have been to in London. I'm not usually a cocktail kind of guy, but they were so delicious and so carefully prepared that I indulged fully!

We even got a tour of the lab upstairs (which was amazing) from Tony, who was a complete gentleman and his passion for his craft was evident and contagious.

I can't wait to go back! I've never had an evening drinking nothing but Bloody Mary's but this place could sway me! Six stars (one for the piano on a Thursday night).

A top notch cocktail bar. Even in the best cocktail bars I usually fine a drink or two not to my taste, or slightly off balance. Not here, and believe me I have tried! Each and every drink is exquisitely crafted and perfectly balanced. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and take a great pride in serving their beautiful drinks. Service is charming, you really get looked after. If I lived closer I would be in here every day. The only negative (and even this doesn't really count) is that it is small, which makes for a wonderful intimate atmosphere but also requires planning ahead on the busier nights. Don't turn up at 9 on a Saturday and expect a table for 6! Having said that you can still expect a lovely welcome and Kim and her team will try to squeeze you in.

Truly a cocktail bar at the top of its game, this will quickly turn into a London institution.

What a little gem...
Every time I come here it just gets better and better. It's so nice to have competent staff suggest cocktails to your taste and then masterfully make them and serve with a smile. @ cocktailman, you must have gone there on a Sunday - when they were closed! You are obviously used to tacky west end bars and your comments will not affect people with taste.
I look forward to seeing the guys at 69 very soon for a Spitfire!

Really mediocre. The stuff I'd read about this place let me to expect something that was at least distinctive, but it's just bad. No flair or imagination, and beginner style, cheap tasting cocktails. Go somewhere else...

Absolutely love the London bar scene and while in town last month the bar which good bartenders urged me to drop by was "Tony's new place" (i.e. 69 Colebrooke Row with Tony Conigliaro's superb concoctions).

From the way that people speak of Tony Conigliaro my impression is that he is the drinks equivalent to Heston Blumenthal.

Incidentally above the bar he has a laboratory(!) for making some ingredients that go into the drinks.

Having phoned ahead was impressed that there was a table waiting for the four of us in what was an otherwise packed bar.

The words that sprang to mind on entering the bar were "understated chic" - although thankfully there's no dress code.

Another bonus was the warm professionalism of the team.

The lovely intimacy of 69 Colebrooke Row reminded me of a Prohibition era style bar in New York or even bars in Tokyo with their high standard of service and exquisitely balanced drinks.

There was also a particular delight in having drinks which not only in their own right are delicious but which you also knew no other bar could make (due to some containing ingredients invented by Tony).

Definitely one to visit if you haven't already.

At first this place looks closed but peer in closer and you will find that it is a shiny new, inviting bar inside!

Visited this place last week and loved it, It is something a bit different for the area and luckily for me is close to home making it only a stones throw away for a decent cocktail....

Decor is simple but works perfectly for the size of the place, it has a stylish retro diner feel to it.

There is a piano in the corner, not sure if it is for live music at some point of the week but if not it looks good anyway!

Atmosphere is chilled out and perfect for having a drink and conversation with friends or partner.

Drinks were great, I had an oh gosh which is a twist on the daiquiri [perfectly balanced and crisp] and then I tried the Blush...

I'm not normally a champagne cocktail drinker but this was delicious..really great blend of rhubarb syrup, Perrier jouet and Rose infused Wyborowa vodka [i think!] anyway whatever it was it was great and I will definitely be going back again for another.

Reasonably priced drinks considering the service and quality..many places down Essex road are charging more than this for something that isn't half the quality.

I look forward to seeing more cocktails being added to the list over time.

Food to compliment the cocktails would be good but I think they mentioned it is coming soon.

Would be nice to have sweet and savoury nibbles to enjoy with the drinks..Overall a big thumbs up!
