After booking the Below Zero restuarant follwed by a premium slot in the ice-bar, me and my husband came away truly disappointed. We booked our meal for 6pm but after my husband managed to speak to the restaurant manager we were eventually seated at 6.40pm. We were then served what i can only drscribe as an express meal. The food wasn't mindblowing as we had expected and there was no time between courses to even catch your breath. After which we were left sat at our table until we went to search out one of the restaurant staff who was supposed to be escorting us up to our slot in the ice bar. At 8.15pm we were finally ushered upstairs for what was supposed to be our 40 minute 8.00pm premium slot in the ice bar. In the ice bar there were free unlimited drinks during the premium slot. There was also a photographer present snapping the crowd in and around the ice carvings. We had 3 photo's taken and had 3 shots of vodka. We were then told that the slot was up and that we had to leave. I was absolutely furiouse as not only had the total sum of our 2 hours there cost us just over £250, we hadn't even had the full 40 minutes in the ice bar. We complained to the manager and gave him our reservation confirmation as proof of timings and he said that he would get back to us the next day. He hasn't contacted us with their response. Our resonse to the ice bar is that it is a complete disorganised rip off and in future i will spend £250 on something more worth while.PS To top it all, our photo's from that evening have never appeared on the web site!!!!!!!
I found this place cold, claustrophbic and expensive. But, in terms of something different, it doesn't really get any more 'out there' than this. Experience this once.
I had mixed feelings about the icebar. While the manager and cocktail waitress were extremely nice and helpful, the man taking tickets at the door was a total ass to us. On a Monday, tickets are £12. He charged us £15 (using some story about needing a reservation) and would have gotten away with it, had I not seen a flyer and asked my new buddy, the manager, about the prices. When the manager asked the guy at the door, he initially denied it, but had to refund us when he realized that he wasn't getting away with it.
It was a fun atmosphere inside, though a bit of a one-time thing. Amythest Twist was delicious and we didn't have any problem with the bartenders, who were fun and dancing around behind the bar. As long as you have the gloves on, there's really no difference between holding their drinks or a normal one; however, hold on to your cup or it's £4 for a new one, on top of the £6 charge per drink.
I would go back with out-of-town friends, but it's not really the sort of place that you frequent.
This place was fab. I cant believe that people are moaning that it is cold and small. Its an ICE BAR!!! what did u expect? its all in the name. I had a great time here, great drinks, great novelty value, great staff, and great music. I would definately go back
Small and expensive but a lot of fun and a great novelty. You've got to go here at least once. The drinks are the size of a shot but I liked drinking from a hollowed out block of ice.
When we went, music was great but everyone was standing around and posing for photo's - the perfect opportunity to dance. An hours long enough as it does get quite cold despite the coats provided. If you go, bring a camera.
If you're thinking of going to the Ice bar for a night out with a difference then don't bother - if you're looking for a night out inside something akin to a Sainsbury's freezer lorry this would be the perfect place!!
After paying 15 quid to get in, I was expecting an 'Ice Bar' maybe with a few ice sculptures, not a small freezer compartment with a few blocks of ice for seats. I have never written a review of a bar before but after paying to get in and then having to pay a tenner for a shot I thought why not.
Overall a total and utter rip off, why bother when there are so many good bars to go to!!
I brought 14 of my friends along to this place. The entire place doesn't feel like the Icehotel but more like a small freezer room with the walls and even glasses being crafted out of ice. Fluorescent lighting spoils the ambience but I loved the ice phone booth.
It was so promising from the outside. You see people sucked into the icey ambience. The moment I spent the 12 quid entry free and got a free drink, I became depressed.
You can have a straight shot that fills the ice glass but they limit the fill to a shot size. Totally preposterous. Felt like a horse's ass when my drink finished faster than a dog in heat.
Absolute IceBar is a good change and a novel idea as far as scenery goes. But, FAR too expensive just for that. The coats and gloves need cleaning badly.
I am so glad I went to Absolut IceBar London as it's something different. I don't think many people would be disappointed. I made a reservation for 5pm on a Thursday so turned up at 4.30 and was allowed straight in because it was quiet.
I would definitely say Absolut IceBar would be better going during the day when it's quiet as I can imagine it being a squeeze in there when its busy. You certainly need to take a camera with you.
Absolut Ice Bar is an absolutly mindblowing place.
Absolut Ice Bar is a very cool tiny bar. It is an excellent place to warm up and start any evening out. But the Absolut Ice Bar entry ticket lasts for only 40 minutes.
The Absolut Ice Bar is absolute quality. My brothers and I went there for my 18th birthday, and it was an unforgettable experience. The drinks are gorgeous, the atmosphere is amazing, the music is perfect, the ice sculptures are incredible, and the bar staff are very accommodating.
There are plasma TVs displaying how the bar was made, the story of the Ice Hotel, and other interesting things, which all ads up to a fantastic experience. There are even reindeer hides to sit on, to keep you from getting too cold! Absolut Ice Bar is the single best bar I have ever been to.
The Absolut Ice Bar was great. I would go there again and again. The staff were friendly and I really thought they had the best job in the world, working at Absolut Ice Bar.
I took a group of 16 people to the Absolut Ice Bar on Saturday night to celebrate my birthday and I was extremely impressed. It was fun, the staff were kind and the experience was amazing and won't be forgotten for a while.
A word of warning though, book in advance for the Absolut Ice Bar and don't get there late. And take a camera!
I went to Below Zero on Saturday to see if it lived up to the hype - and it did! As you can imagine, the whole environment at Absolut IceBar is just so surreal. Drinking from glasses made of ice wearing a silver thermal cape, there is also ice art adorning the walls and a huge ice cube you can step into for essential picture taking!
45 minutes is more than enough time to take in the Absolut IceBar surroundings, as the cold starts to set in after about 20 minutes! This leaves you with enough time to savor the free drink you get with your entry fee.
The doormen were also very friendly and, although we couldn't smuggle any extra people into the bar as it was full, they ensured that the waiters provided good service to our friends outside in the (relative!) warmth.
Worth checking out for the novelty factor - and a great stop to make for a drink before moving onto a club!
I went to the Absolut IceBar and found it very poor. We went to the non-ice part and were sat there for ages waiting to be served, for the drinks to arrive, for our table to be set, for the food to come, and then when it did arrive we were disappointed.
The food was very bland, the menu was small and confusing, the staff were arrogant and unhelpful. But, most of all the whole place is incredibly overpriced. And on top of everything they sneakily put in a 12.5% service charge and then have the gumption to recommend you tip as well to reward their staff for such excellent service!
I hope the whole Absolut IceBar melts.
Went to Absolut IceBar with the girls tonight & didn't have to wait to get in, got given our capes/gloves & went in with our cocktail ticket (£15, not £12!) Drinks were good & staff were friendly - yes, it is a bit touristy but worth it for the experience.
Two tips for Absolut IceBar: wear 2 pairs of socks otherwise your toes freeze and stand in the middle of the bar, not at the end & you'll get served quicker! Photos are worth it so you can show your mates what the Grim Reaper in Lapland looks like, as you stand there in your hooded capes! We probably wouldn't go there a second time but the side bar, where we had a second drink is nice. Absolut IceBar is worth it, just so you can say you've been!
Visited the Absolut IceBar recently and thought it was brilliant. It was cold but was bearable although 45 mins is enough time to take Absolut IceBar all in.
Absolut IceBar is the best. We love it!
On a cold Friday night we were slightly aprehensive about going to the Absolut IceBar and paying £12 to be even colder.
However, it is worth every penny, your first drink is thrown in for the price and the coat and gloves which are essential to hold your ice cube glass! The vodka cocktails go down very well and it is great fun, you must take a camera.
Absolut IceBar is a one off experience but most definitely worth doing and 45 minutes is enough, the cold starts kicking in. Check this bar out...
What can I say? The food at Absolut IceBar was bland and boring. I went there last Saturday night. The waiters and waitresses were very friendly, but we waited close to 20 minutes for our cocktails.
When we finally got our drinks the food took forever. The steak was cold, our chips soggy. I would not recommend it to anyone.
I chatted with the chef and he was rude and extremely arrogant in my opinion. Not a pleasant experience. Try Absolut IceBar if you must, but be warned.

What kind of absolute tool would post a review slagging off a bar he or she never acually went to? Here's a crazy idea: 1. Go there, 2. Form an opinion, 3. Write a review.
I haven’t been to the Absolut IceBar but I can imagine what it's like. Have you all gone mad – this place is a gimmick and not a place you will want to go back to more than twice in your life.
Absolut IceBar is the type of place that is no different to every other theme bar such as Cheers. Don’t bother wasting your time freezing your perfectly manicured hands in this place. Go and find a good old fashioned boozer.
If you can’t think of a good place for a first date or are unable to decide where to start or end your visit in London then look no further than the Absolut Icebar.
This is truly one of the best watering holes in the capital. A really cool, chilled out vibe surrounds the whole place. From the moment you step inside the Absolut Icebar you know you are somewhere different.
Friendly and helpful staff are on hand to chat and help you into the brilliant Eskimo-type outfits you have to wear. Not being able to feel your toes when you leave is all part of the experience.
I recommend visiting Absolut Icebar on a cold day. On leaving the bar the outside world feels pleasantly warm (for a good 20-30 minutes) compared to minus temperatures of the Absolut IceBar. The £12.00 entry fee is a just price for an ice adventure.
Absolut Icebar is the best bar in the whole of London, in my opinion. I was lucky enough to book a slot for my friends and I during the first week of opening and it certainly deserves the hype. If I ever win the Lottery, I'll make Absolut Icebar my local.
