This is one of the only All Bar One venues in the chain that offers something a bit more. A constantly buzzing atmosphere and layout with a speck of originality makes for a more unique ABO experience.

The Venue
It’s the location that really sets this All Bar One apart from all the rest. It can be found right in the middle of Leicester Square - an incredible placement by any venue’s standards.

Although the decor is standard - blackboards, wooden tables, benches and a general light, clean air, there are some nice differences. Firstly, there’s a great placement of areas, perfect for a busy bar like this. The ground floor is set up in a mezzanine style, with a main lower ground area with a large bar and seating for those drinking. The upper ground has an extension of the bar and more seats and space to stand. Then there are steps leading upstairs to the loos and what amounts to more of a dining area. There’s no bar up there but a decent table service. This stops the place from becoming too claustrophobic and gives it more of a design edge, lacking in most All Bar Ones.

The Atmosphere
Being based in Leicester Square means that this bar is always brimming with a vast array of drinkers - morning, noon and night. With a grand variety of people including office workers, tourists, party-goers and pre-clubbers, creating a vibe that bizarrely fits. The staff do well to accommodate the huge volumes of punters who walk through the doors and don’t get short and snappy, unusual for many venues in this area.

The Drink
All Bar One Leicester Square makes a good choice for a place to go before hitting the clubs on account of the fact that you don’t need to take out a loan to afford a drink here. A good selection of cold, decent lagers at around £3 a pint, a huge selection of reds, whites and roses and all the usual spirits and mixers means that you won’t have your drinking horizons expanded but you’ll be left happily satisfied.

The Last Word
As far as All Bar One bars go, this Leicester Square drinking establishment offers a bit more than the norm, with an expertly designed venue and an eclectic mix of clientele.
