Mystery of the disappearing chicken and chorizo skewers.

Circa 2005 all bar one served 3 skewers each with 3 chunks of chicken and 3 chunks of chorizo.

I noticed the same dish a few years later only had 2 chunks of chicken and chorizo.

I returned just recently 2009 I was served 3 skewers with only 1 morsel of chicken and chorizo on each.

I won't be returning for fear of being served an empty plate!

Reducing portion sizes may give you higher pecentage profits ABO but 100% of nothing is nothing!

The service is terrible and the food is less than average. I went for a 2nd time to give it another go and my experience was worse than the first.

Perhaps the Chef should acutally cook what the menu says or tell the staff that meals are going to be altered so that it can be passed on.

Wouldn't even bother going there for a drink again!

The ambience and food can be great (when they don't run out) but the service is terrible.



Trying to get a drink at the bar can take an age as there never seems to be more than one person serving. During this period there are generally five 'waiters' clustered at the end of the bar doing nothing.



As soon as you actually want to order some food all the waiters immediately disappear and you end up going to the bar to order (see problem above).



The final straw with this place was when the clocks went forward last weekend and nobody turned up to open up. We were met at the door by a waitress who practically told us to get lost until she had finished setting up the tables (an hour late).

A bit of civility is a very good attribute for a bar manager. Someone should remind the chap at ABO in Northcote of this and perhaps he will keep his customers longer than 5 minutes.
