Built under the arches of Waterloo station, Arch One Bar and Grill is well worth making a trip to. Serving cool classic cocktails until the early hours, it’s great for enjoying food and drink from all over the world.

The Venue
Upon entry through the tall glass doors, the long walk to the bar makes you feel like a celebrity walking the red carpet. When you get to the bar, an impressive display of drinks from around the world are stacked to the ceiling for you to take your pick. Choose from many different types of whiskey, bourbon, vodka and anything else you can imagine including classic cocktails and a huge wine selection.

When you do select your tipple of choice, turn around and admire the wonderful art displayed on the walls and raised seating area high up near the ceiling. Two separate staircases lead up to this wonderful vantage point, where sitting with a glass of wine is made most enjoyable as you watch the busy commuters bustle past in their hectic lives.

The Atmosphere
Expect to see the well dressed businessmen of the area enjoying a bottle of Sol after a hard day at work. The staff are great, especially the bartenders who mix and shake any cocktail from the menu with perfection. The light, trendy club music played in the background provides a gentle melody to nod your head to, and the amazing selection of drinks behind the bar is enough to excite anyone’s interest.

Built under the railway arches of Waterloo, the trains literally shake the tables when they pass. Located so close to the station, Arch One Bar and Grill is a great place to visit when working in the city or passing through waiting for a train. There is seating for approximately thirty inside with a few seats outside - perfect for the summer months.

The Drink
Expect to see all the usual cocktails at Arch One Bar and Grill with a few twists, such as the coriander mojito and coffee flavoured martinis. All cocktails are prepared with style, using fresh ingredients and premium alcohol. This is just the tip of the iceberg as the bar also offers all the usual drinks such as vodka, rum and brandy but with four or five different choices for each drink.

Try the Japanese favourite Sake, which is an alcohol derived from rice and happens to be very delicious. There is a massive wine selection on offer, with red, white and rose bottles available from all around the world. Fresh coffee is also available, presented on a perfect china plate with a shiny silver spoon.
