Just back from a very average, if expensive, lunch with colleagues.

The food generally is palatable, with the table split roughly 50:50 between ribs and burgers but there was a noticeable amount of leftovers heading back to the kitchen.

The ribs are hastily cooked, if not broiled, so are tasteless and moreover don’t have that fall off the bone appeal. Additional toppings on the burgers are unnecessarily expensive, and something as simple as wedges were overcooked and dry.

The choice to serve up food on a wooden board does little to keep food warm and I couldn’t help but wonder what the cracks were harbouring. A naff presentation touch.

Despite not being empty, the place lacks any real atmosphere and the staff all share the same disinterested cold demeanour.

It’s a shame as this place looked to be a great alternative we’d stumbled across – based on this experience, I can’t imagine they get much repeat business. Certainly wouldn’t rush back, sorry.

Had a meal at the restaurant over the weekend, the fillet steak was excellent and stacked up relatively well to the standard served at Gaucho.

We had a prize voucher to use at the restaurant and what was most disappointing however was that the staff told us on arrival that we were entitled to a free starter & main or a free main & dessert, plus a bottle of wine.

We were then told when the bill came that we had to pay for the food (two mains and starter) and only the wine was free.

Management at this restaurant need to take a hard look at themselves and either communicate better or change the wording on their prize draws so that there is no scope for confusion when interpreting what is actually 'free'.

We were quite rudely spoken to by the owner when debating what we had to end up paying for, eventually we ended up paying for one steak (which is what we expected to pay for) but he couldn't help adding the starter back onto the bill as well, quite pathetic really.

Terrible bar and restaurant. Just had a christmas party here and wouldn't reccommend this to anyone! Awful. Staff are surly, service is slow and the atmosphere is shocking!

The Arch One Bar and Grill is such a lovely setting - gorgeous lights and lovely decor make this a really pleasant place to visit. The food's pretty tasty as well and at such good prices that you won't recoil in horror when the bill comes. The Arch One Bar and Grill is definitely somewhere that I can recommend.

The Arch One Bar and Grill is a splendid little restaurant. We had a bit of a wait for the train so we popped in to Arch One for a quick lunch. Food was great and service even better. Impressed.
