Visited this pub with my wife while on a visit to the area. We both lived and worked in the area some 50 years ago and often saw the pub from the train when going home from work and promised ourselves we would go and have a pint there one day! We were not disappointed. It was just like going back into the old East End.
The lady behind the bar was very friendly and it was nice to find there was somewhere comfy to sit. What a welcome change from the trendy wine bars just a few streets away.

The Artful Dodger may not be up to everyone's likeing, but for a sports fan like me there's no better place (beside being at the match) to enjoy a few quiets with your mates and talk nothing but sport! The Artful Dodger is a home away from home!
