I was around the South Kensington area, and was looking for cosy champagne/wine bar for a glass bubbly. Found the Aubrey Champagne Bar online and was voted one of the best in town.



My first thought, a very typical hotel bar. Not somewhere I will go for drink in the evenings. Somehow I felt it’s lacking the atmosphere. However, it was definitely cosy and ideal for quiet drink on your own, I would very much love to come here for an Afternoon Tea. The tea room looks exquisite.

The bar drinks menu very much acceptable for a hotel standard. However I am comparing this bar to the many exclusive champagne bars that I had a chance to visit.

They do have some nice champagne and red wines by the glass. Which is something I look for as I normally tend to have a glass on my one in the evenings, I never rarely have more than one. A bottle is normally out of the question.

Service itself was quite disappointing. The attentiveness of the waiting team was very much non-existent.

But I enjoyed my lovely glass of Moet and Chandon Rose NV by the glass.

Will come here again? Yes, but this for an afternoon tea.
