It's funny that the two reviews on here are word for word identical to reviews on other websites!?

I thought bar 23 was lively and quirky, but overcrowded with overpriced watered down drinks and dodgy blokes wandering about. Perhaps I went there on a bad night though? The music is a nice laugh (albeit a bit karaoke), but it's not fun constantly being nudged and shoved out the way, it's just a bit on the small side.

I love this place! Great music, eclectic crowd and lots of fun. Its a really relaxed place that is miles away from some of the other more affected bars in dalston. Not a huge variety of drinks but they are reasonably priced, highly recommend!

Don't normally write reviews but I had a really good time here last Saturday so felt I should.

Bar 23 has a really interesting decor with lots of little quirky design features.

It was really buzzing, really busy with great music and great mixture of people.

They had a couple of tables outside with a smoking area. They also had a seperate area in the back where people could sit and chill.

Really friendly staff and management who mingled and made sure we were having a good time, they weren't too in your face though.

I'll definately be going back!
