Look, Bar 54 is probably not the best club in the world but if you are looking for a late night, it's worth a look. I've always found it relatively friendly - but be warned, there can be a lot of attitude.

Agree with the other guys - the music downstairs at 54 was good but it was full of a lot of dodgy people. I'm no saint but this place was really, really dodgy. Also some werido thought he was a funny guy trying to be cocky.

I had my bag nicked in 54 and my mate had her phone nicked. The music and vibe downstairs was good but 54has lots of seedy losers - beware!

If you like your cocktails then I can highly recommend Bar 54 - the barmen seem to know exactly what they are doing and when I asked for a not very well known cocktail that wasn't on their menu, the guy just nodded and started making it. That certainly impressed me a hell of a lot! We ended up staying in Bar 54 for the rest of the evening - we even made our friends come to meet us there as we refused to leave!

Yeah, Bar 54 is full of arty/design idiots but so is everywhere in Shoreditch and Hoxton. If you can put up with them then this place is a real treat - the food is excellent and service even better. Bar 54 is reason enough to ignore those boho yuppies and actually enjoy yourself in E1.

If you wish to go to a club that doesn't allow gay people in then 54 is the club for you. It may well be great but we don't know as me and my partner were not allowed in. Me and my friends were hassled by the door men and my brothers wife was givenmabuse too. What a lovely night! Thanks 54.

54's a cool place and the music is undeniably banging, I jsut didn't like the red glow, felt like I'd descended into hell! I'd recommend visiting 54 though.
