I think this place is a little breath of fresh air in the City - it's neither too hip or too stiff. The staff are really sweet and they seem to know their wine stuff. My husband and I are pretty traditional (old World) wine enthusiasts but the waiter (he might have been the sommelier) encouraged us to try some quite unusual wines which we actually liked (especially a sparkling Vouvray, I think ). His attitude was - try it, and if you don't like it we will find something else. Great attitude. And the food was very good, too. We liked the mixed charcuterie board, and the really full of flavour dishes such as oxtail and mash. My husband works nearby and he and his office mates are now going to adopt it as one of their new favourite spots. Hopefully they'll include me from time to time! I loved it.
