Today I went to Bar Gansa and had a latte that tasted more like water than milk (nothing like the coffee you get in Spain) and two slices of toasted sliced white bread with a bit of butter and jam. Charge was £5, probably because the price wasn't listed anywhere so I couldn't contest the price.

This place is fabulous, great staff nice quick freshly prepared food at a sensible price.
Go there Monday night for a great flamenco night.
It opens late and has a great selection of spanish beers and wines and spirits too
It fits beautifully into the trendiest part of town to be seen in.

Really great quality food and cocktails! Makes a nice change in Camden!

The tapas there is brilliant, although i always order too much because it all looks so good!

Flamenco nights are a must to, even if, like me, you dont want to join in!

I popped in here to meet an old friend the other night and was pleasantly surprised, especially after reading the review below.

The atmosphere was buzzing and the bar staff were lovely. A "couple" of ales later and I trundled off in the direction of the tube and met a tramp called Steve. He was lovely. I particularly liked his musk.

All in all I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Bar Gansa and this was topped off by meeting the lovely, albeit smelly, chap called Steve. I will be going again.

Saturday night before closing I was in Bar Gansa with a friend and we ordered two glasses of wine de la casa. They bring us the worst and cheapest red wine from Valdepenas. I complained about the awful wine that they serve as house wine at Bar Gansa and I received an arrogant answer (tone and meaning) that nobody complains about this wine. Finally I ordered a beer San Miguel almost without tasting the awful wine and thay have the courtesy to change our wines without extra charge.

So bad quality wine and service at least with reflects to correct after a serious insistence in the complain. (I didn´t taste the food).

It's not big on room, but Bar Gansa is great for groups. I've had many a happy (if drunken) birthday here with a big group of mates. Lots of tasty tapas to share and Bar Gansa has a really happy atmosphere. Recommended.

Bar Gansa was initially promising but eventually disappointing - our food arrived cold and a 12.5% tip was added to our bill automatically without warning - a pet hate! Come here for the drinks instead.
