Gay Pride - £5 for a pint!

Shocked that on such as occassion when when you should be thanking your regular customers on the day of "pride" that the mangement decided to charge their customers £5 for a pint of lager. I am prepared to assume that times are hard for Barcode rather than taking advantage of the situation were some customers were well eniberated. Well times are about to get harder if you alienate your customers like this. There are better bars around Soho. Maybe it's time for a rethink/ relaunch....in fact piss off.....you won't be getting my money again. Gay shame.

We visited this bar while in London 3/5/2011. We're both in our 40's and I choose this bar because other reviews noted that older clientele would feel comfortable going there. It was a decent place with a nice mix of guys. Music was okay and the beer prices certainly reasonable/average. I would visit this bar again if given the opportunity.

we went to barcode on a friday night 13th august bought 2 pints of "fosters" cost ? £8.70 !!
well its lost our custom,great drink prices? i dont think so, all the other local gay bar were around £6.40 for the same and yes the bar staff were unfriendly

Hi I just saw your review. The price mentioned is just not true!
We have never charged £4.35 for a pint of Fosters NEVER. I think you may have made a mistake or there may be some other reason that this error occurred. However, sorry that had this experience I hope that you give it another go. Troy (proprietor)

TROY we were not mistaken most definitely not, we are keen on trying new bars (to us) gay / straight we know what were doing and we were charged "that price"
you cant see what the till rings as no display, but the server clicked on a receipt machine of some kind and gave a receipt with £8.70 on it plus £1.30 change we were not impressed as the other nearby gay venues charged far less
couldn't see how to reply to your comment hence my making another revue

After bar hopping throughout Soho last Friday night, I found Barcode in Soho one of the best bars ive been in for a while - staff were friendly & attentive, the crowd also friendly, music was not too campy and the drinks were reasonably priced (I nearly fell backwards when told three double vodkas were under £17 - thats a bargain in Soho!).

For a good night out in Soho and without the attitude I reccommend this place!

Barcode is an extremely busy and popular hotspot. I have always preferred Bar Code to any other as both the staff and customers are so down-to-earth. Drinks are reasonably priced, particularly on some nights when all drinks are £2. Bar Code is great whether you're gay or not.
