I was there on a Saturday night when it opens at 8. We arrived at a quarter to eight and after entering the place a very rude bouncer ordered as to get out saying it wasn't open yet.
We said the doors were open so we didn't know it was closed still but he was abusive and just kept pointing out and ordering us to leave.
It really surprises me when i read negative reviews of places like barracuda bar. Its a sports bar that aims to cram as many people in to watch top sport as possible! ofcourse it can get overcrowded, messy and depending on whats happening on those magical big screens a bit rowdy! but its big enough to find a corner to watch the games in, the beer is good and the food cheap so whats the problem? all i can say is if you dont like sport dont go but if you do there isnt a better venue for watching the big games in london!
What people have to remember is that they have to take the Barracuda Bar for what it is...a themed bar with big screens and plenty of pool tables. If you're looking for a quiet place to hang out with the Mrs. then this place is probably not for you. However, if you're looking for a relaxed atmosphere, a bar with a decent selection of international beers or somewhere to watch sport and play pool then this should top your list.
The place literally heaves on a Friday night as people head here to pre-game before heading onto a somewhere else. A great venue to watch any sporting event (the place will regularly be wall to wall packed for football, rugby and cricket). It's about a 2-3 minute walk from Liverpool Street station, so getting home after a night out shouldn't be too much trouble.
The bar staff have always been pretty friendy and the food is decent but not great. Prices are average for a bar of this size in the centre of the City.
All told, the Barracuda Bar is a half decent place to start a night out or meet other friends before heading on somewhere else.
Terrible. Rubbish. No good. Simple as that.
This Barracuda Bar sits in the midst of many high quality offers in the City. It has a homeliness to it which is quite a feat for such a huge place. Food is above what you'd expect in a big sports bar.
I spent a great night at Barracuda Bar supporting my beloved Socceroos v Brazil and loved the great vibe. Bad result, but what a night!!
The Barracuda Bar is a great bar for drinking, dancing and watching your favourite sport.
After a hard days work with modems, circuit board re-fig and playing with my hard drive, The Barracuda Bar is a lovely place to unwind. Distinctly South African-themed, The Barracuda Bar has some good ales (Fullers on tap) and some excellent snack food.
