We booked a table for four on-line a few days in advance and arrived on time at 6.30pm on 20 December. It was therefore disappointing to be shown to a high table for eight right inside the doorway which already contained four people who had sprawled out. Although they offered to move up, we didn’t feel well treated by the waitress particularly when there were lots of empty tables at the back of the restaurant. The manager was too busy chatting to deal with our complaint and so we walked out. Instead we went to Istanbul Mezze Bar (www.istanbulmeze.co.uk) in nearby Cleveland Street, where we were delighted to find staff who appreciated our custom
Love this place. It's authentic spanish tapas that is reasonably priced. The wine menu is extensive and the staff really friendly. Is quite a small place though so book if want food or get there early! Few tables outside too which is great in the summer.
This place is brilliant. Great food, great atmosphere, friendly non-intrusive service. So far the best tapas I've had in London.
Can't fault Barrica. I was there again on Saturday and just love the atmosphere. It's great to see a new bar doing well and the team there have done a brilliant job. Definitely recommend a visit.
Great atmosphere, lovely tapas, and fantastic selection of wines.
Will be returning on a regular basis, I'm sure!
Amazing value for money!
this place has the best croquetas and albondigas I've ever eaten anywhere, including 5 years living in Madrid and Barcelona..
quite a few usual things too and great original wine list + friendly attentive service..
have been there twice in two weeks once early evening light tapas and one one full-on meal, fab both times!!
This place is very good and seriously under-priced. We have had lunch there twice, once midweek for a quick lunch and once on a Saturday for more of a blow-out.
Both times the food was great, very authentic (we lived in Madrid for five years), and the wine list is better than you would find in most places in Spain.
As for the prices, I think you could easily pay twice this much for Spanish cuisine of this quality in London.
What a delight! Fantastic and big wine menu, and the service was superb. So friendly and attentive.
My girlfriend and I had eaten prior to going into Barrica , so just had a plate of patatas bravas to go with the wine, but had we been hungry we would have definitely tried the other tapas on the menu.
We noticed the food on the table beside us and it looked great. We recommend this place. I will place a full review when we return and have a meal with the wine.
Which will be soon!
