Back in the day this was the Beaufoy Arms and it has lost some it's character since it was sliced in half to the much reduced size it is today. A draw used to be the Sunday lunch time strippers that used to appear here and the local flavour was wonderfully Afro-Carribean. The faded elegence has gone to be replaced with the modern bar of today. Incidently, London's oldest gay sauna, Star Steam, operated near by.

The Beaufoy Arms in Wandsworth makes for a good port of call for a pub crawl. On the few crawls I've done in the area, we've always ensured the Beaufoy Arms is on our route!
