Absolutely shocking. Made a booking for a group expecting that we would able to take advantage of the 50% happy hour. When it came to ordering drinks we were rudely informed that the deal did not apply that day. We were given no reason and there was no notice anywhere. The staff were rude and uncompromising and kept saying it was a decision taken by the "Head Office"(!).

After we ordered our full-price drinks, and were brought the bill, we were harassed to pay immediately or set up a tab. No one had the intention of leaving without paying. I told a waitress how appalled I was by the service, and she apologised, only to return 5 minutes later and continue to nag.

When I came to pay I noticed a mandatory service charge, even on a single cocktail. I crossed it off the bill, and said I wasn't paying it. The waitress made a fuss and told me I had to, before the manager stepped in and said it was ok.

I have never been to a bar anywhere with worse service.

Do not go here.

Go somewhere else!

My food didn't turn up for over two hours and there was a 10 minute wait to get a drink at the bar - and all of this with 80-90% of the tables and seats still empty. I can scarcely imagine what it'd be like if it as full.

The staff continually kept trying to take 2/3rd full bottles of wine from our table - but only once they were sure everyone had a few drinks and might not notice - and the useless manager flatly denied it was hapening.

To top it off the cocktails were so weak that I may as well have been drinking tap water and all of the prices, from the beer to the house wine & food were extortionate by any standards.

And don't get me started on the music...

There are so many great bars in Farringdon. Don't be drawn in by the fancy decor. This is one of the worst.

This is the worst bar I have ever been to. The doorman and the manager are rude, threatening and unprofessional. They overcharged my bar tab by £100. They then stood over me in a threatening way to force me to pay it.

I would not reccommend this place to my worst enemy. Avoid at all costs. Drinking white lightning in a bus stop in the pouring rain is more enjoyable.

Terrible terrible bar. Rude bar staff who had attitude problems and refused to serve me happy hour cocktails at 9pm on the dot, happy hour being 5-9pm. Cocktails a complete waste of money. 2-for-1 happy hour offer means you get 2 miniscule cocktails that would amount to 1 drink in any other bar. Cocktails themselves completely watered down. I had 8 and remained stone cold sober. Avoid this place at all costs; there are much nice places along Charterhouse St., like next door Omega.

Star rating applies to your comment, not the bar, which I don't know. So, you're peeved that they ended happy hour when they said they would, having had it on for four hours? And the cocktails were rubbish, but despite that you stayed and drank eight of them? Met too many whingers like you whilst working in bars, bet they were glad to see the back of you!

THE rudest manager I have EVER come across.

Having booked a table for 6.30-7 (with email confirmation to prove it) we turned up on Saturday at 7 to find the place wasn't even open and doesn't actually open until 7 anyway...why they told us that time for the booking I have no idea! When we turned up there were staff waiting outside and nothing happening inside, nothing set up at all.

We went to Ortega (fantastic service) to get a drink whilst waiting for it to open/deciding what to do as there were 12 of us and not easy to get a table somewhere else at such short notice. Mr Manager finally turned up so I went to speak to him to very politely request whether he could offer us a discount/some free drinks for the delay and to cheer the dissenters up (some of the group were threatening mutiny at this point) as I still wanted to go there. To which the manager replied 'if you hadn't asked for one then I would have given you a discount'. Hmmmmm, well Mr Manager you lost the business of 12 people and we went and spent £250 in Ortegas instead (who were brilliant by the way) whilst you and your staff sat outside Beduin serving noone and losing money. I would like to think you might lose the attitude in future but I doubt it.

Avoid like the plague, manners cost nothing Mr Manager!

There was 8 of us ladies, mixed ages from 19-late 40's and we had the best time! Good performance from bar staff, general Staff were really friendly. Drinks at a typical London price but worth the money as they don't hold back! Good atmosphere if your feeling the party vibe, plenty of dance floor space once they open the second room or if you'd prefer a calm relaxed evening the bar area is ideal for that. Overall it's a great venue! If your looking for a fun night out with the girls then I would definitely recommend Beduin Bar

I recently hosted a joint 25th birthday party at the Beduin which was a real success. The whole Beduin team were so helpful and couldn't do enough in the organising of our party.

The party was enjoyed by all and I was able to enjoy the party without being faced with any problems at all- as the Beduin team took care of every aspect of the party on the night. The venue was perfect.

It is smartly decorated and personal so ideal for an party or event. The staff are welcoming and really fun- which really helped the party atmosphere.

The drinks are reasonably priced and the bar staff tried to ensure that everyone was served as speedily as possible to minimise the queues.

I would thoroughly recommend Beduin as a venue for anyone looking to host a party under 150 people.

Its best to start at the beginning. The first few steps were promising, with the bouncers providing a professional start to the evening.

Sadly the stellar performance by these (presumably contracted employees and unrelated to this bar) was no reflection on the rest of the establishment.

The main complaint would be the background music.

As the phrase would suggest, the music is to be considered in the background, to enable the mood of a middle eastern delight filled with mystery and magic to exude from the premises.

Their music thrusts itself upon you, in a repetitive manner, much akin to some ancient Chinese torture method.

If the physical discomfort of having your hearing slowly destroyed is not enough, this ineptitude in music selection, mutilates any social possibility by reducing all conversation to the most neanderthal of methods - shouting.

Possibly to its credit, it enhances the general public's ability in body language, and I'm sure that if England were to have a competition with the world in charades, participants at this places should be on the shortlist for our team!!!!

This place is by no means slack. They ensure that not only are our auditory sense is insulted, but our visual sense is too.

Oh how I remember the magic and mystery the middle east would hold in my mind from yesteryear from books and films.

Little did I realise that sticking twigs to a wall was particularly artistic.

Maybe it was a way to re-create the hustle and buste of a busy market place, where you could never find a place without something or someone pushing and prodding you.

Though I lack and formal training in interior design, I fear that not even a well experienced con-artist would be able to conjure up a reason behind the choosing to cover the walls with square pieces of MDF.

In the end, this place has left a sour taste in my mouth. Much like

I'm a regular customer at Beduin; to my mind this is one of the best late night clubs in the area. Me and my friends have organized lots of private parties and will do so in the future. Regarding the £5 charge every time you go for a cigarette is not true, we always get stamped at the entrance and go for a cigarette as many times as we like; and it has never happened to any of us. The atmosphere there is just great and they have the best DJs!!!

I would highly recommend Beduin bar. It is simply the best club in the Farringdon area. If you feel a bit too old for the likes of Fabric or like a more sophisticated party then Beduin is the best place. I have been a regular at Beduin for 2 years now and it has become a home. The managers and staff are lovely. The dj's from Wednesday to Saturday are awesome. Atmosphere is electric. And the crowd Beduin attracts are my sort of people.....all you Beduin virgins need to try it....at least once.

This bar has got to be the worse Smithfield’s bar. By the looks of it, the bar owner / manager has decided to recruit the most incompetent and rude bouncers as there is an obvious consistency and pattern in most staff dealings with the customers. If you do decide to go BEWARE as the bouncer will make you pay £5 every time you go out for a cigarette with the full back up of the manager! When I dared go into an honest explication that my friend and I were already in the bar prior to the charging time, he simply shouted "I don't care" and when I explained further, he pushed us all out. This is simply use and abuse of a professional situation and when I decided to speak to the Manager outside he did not try to listen nor act as a Manager but simply said, "I had enough get out". I am deeply upset by the unprofessionalism and utter rudeness of this place! If you do want to have a good time and enjoy your hard earnt cash do NOT go to Beduin. This is purely and simply a rip off place with the rudest staff I ever come across in my long history of going out in London. Manager / owner if you care about improving the service you owe to every customer who steps in Beduin, I am open to talking this further. Fellow customers, if you are up to a nice evening, with a minimum decent service Beduin is certainly not the place!

I went to Beduin last Friday for my sister's birthday. The service was appalling. Not only did the bouncer insist that we pay £5 each time we went out for a cigarette (yes, he seriously did and we had to pay) but when we complained to the Manager he seemed unbothered and asked us very rudely to either to pay or leave. Provided that we paid £1500 that night, the service was both shocking and frustrating as thae value for money was below the basic standards. To add insult to injury, the food was cold when it arrived and the waitress refused to heat it up or change it. Very rude staff, I wouldn't recomment it AT ALL.
