Had a pint here last night, I'll not be returning. I've been put off by the barmaid sweeping off the overly large head on my beer with the back her hand!
A nice pub for a quick bite. Food was good, nice sausages, sauce was a bit bland but it all came quickly and staff were friendly. Nice cider. Nothing fancy or pretentious just a nice dinner.
The Belle Vue was one of the most pleasurable nights out in London, I've had in a long time! A refined but unpretentious sanctuary in a beautifully bohemian neighbourhood, Classy attentive staff, A perfectly selected wine list, a beautiful & extremely accommodating Manageress, All leading to an unforgettable night in Clapham.
A must if you are in the area!
I like this place, it's not pretending to be something it's not. Helpful staff (definitley not over attentive) and a pleasant atmosphere make this the ideal place to meet friends and have a drink during the week. The Food (bar nibbles) were much better than your average pub fair.
A friend recommended Belle Vue to me after I complained about the lack of choice we vegetarians get in restaurants, especially if you don’t want cheese with everything! It had a great choice and not just mushrooms and your standard stuffed vegetables it was varied and impressive and I will have no qualms in recommending Belle Vue to any other vegetarians out there that have the same gripe as me on our menu choices.
Belle Vue is a great Pub for a quiet pint. The bar snack menu is also excellent (I highly recommend the meatballs). During the daytime hours, the wireless internet access available at Belle Vue is a dream and there is nothing better than working whilst having a pint!
Really enjoy relaxing at Belle Vue - the staff and service are great and the food's pretty good too. Belle Vue is worth a look if you're in the area.
