Quite like this place, to me in seems like some generic high street bar on the outside, but inside was pretty funky and they have some great cocktails and live music on sunday!
service does sometimes sadly lack, and i am a bit of a service snob.
overall i would recommend this place however as the vibe is very chilled and the drinks are great

I would seriously advise people
against coming here I was shortchanged for the second
time here this evening and my friend
has also had his card cloned here before, I politely asked the bar staff about their mistake this evening(it was only a £6 difference but still) and was met with a very rude and hostile response, used to
really like this place despite my friend having his card cloned but won't ever be back

Two words - Love It

Great for sport, got chatting to the Aussie Mangeress, a great person to be running a bar

I went to the Bison and Bird last Saturday to watch the six nations games. It has the advantage of being slightly quieter than most venues in Clapham for watching sport - the downside is it doesn't really have any atmosphere.

They have a big screen projector but it is almost directly opposite the bar so you can't really see it from any of the tables. You also can't get to the bar when the games are on because of the all the people standing trying to watch the big screen.

The food was fairly reasonable pub-grub type stuff and the waitresses were friendly and attentive.

I wish I could say the same for the bar staff. Service was slow and arrogant. There were plenty of people behind the bar but they seemed more intent on chatting to each other and flirting with female customers than actually serving any drinks. Between us we tried the Heineken, Kronenbourg and the Becks Vier and all had an unpleasant chemical after taste so we were forced to switch to the more expensive bottled beers. The "Happy Hour" doesn't extend to beers, only cocktails and wine.

All-in-all not a great experience and I wouldn't go back.

Nice bar. Heaps of room, so never feels too crowded, and seating is well arranged. Menu is good for a weekend lunch, but expensive.

Buyer BE WARE!

Nice venue - pity about the wierd advertising that leaves a bad taste in your mouth. A happy "hour" is advertised from 5pm - 8pm. Nothing new there - however they heavily advertise "2 FOR 1" cocktails. So you meander up to the bar - request your cocktails and get charged full price for them both.

The deal is not 2 for 1 - its a BOGOF deal you MUST have 2 of the same - despite the fact that all (around 8)cocktails are £6.40. This is not mentioned anywhere in the literature - small print -(what small print there isnt any!) only after you order your drinks.

Cocktail menu is extremely limited. Decor is right uptodate and clean - Staff are generally ok - they try - but do follow the rules....

Menu looked ok for a bar - more burger and chips fayre however than gastropub.

Great bar, stands out on the high street for it's great happy hour & service. Also the cocktails are brilliant.

A good place to go on the weekends with your mates as always busy. helps you with your hangovers over sundays with their roast dinners, well it helps me!!

The Bison Bar is a great little venue. I know some people in Clapham might not like this new incarnation but for me this is a great bar and much better than the place before. Still haven't worked out why it's called the Bison Bar though...
