The oldest and largest of the blagclub chain, this venue is in the heart of cool Ladbroke Grove and is popular with the locals. Brassiere by day and club by night, this is a great place to spend the evening if you’re in the area.

The Venue
blagclub Kensal Road is actually closer to Kensal Green tube than Ladbroke Grove, but it’s easy to find on the road thanks to the bouncers and velvet rope accompanying the entrance. Once inside the large lobby, which is sumptuous, there is a friendly person in charge of the guestlist (which you must be on to gain entrance). Inside, the bar has high ceilings and there’s plenty of seating to get a view of the large dancefloor.

The Atmosphere
As the club is larger, it’s also the least intimate of the blagclub chain, but that isn’t to say there isn’t a good atmosphere. Well into the night, people can dance and drink their worries away. The bar staff and door staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and the manager of the club is a real personality who obviously loves his club. The vibe here is less exclusive and more relaxed than others in the chain, but is perhaps more fun because of that.

The Music
The music is pretty standard at this blagclub with a DJ working the decks. On the whole, it’s full of high-end nights; although Fridays are locals night with a heavy soul-based set and many of the nearby residents pile in for a catch up.

The Drink
As standard with blagclub, there are no bar menus but the bar staff can mix you anything you want to. The prices are reasonable, beer comes in bottles and the wine (or champagne) is served beautiful chilled.

The Last Word
A medium sized club in Ladbroke Grove, it’s a friendly place with a nice, chilled out atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.
