Historic pub in a fantastic setting.

Family owned so always helpful and friendly rather than the ghastly managed pub next door. Drank here before it was renovated and think they have done an excellent job.

It has lost none of its character and they have also opened a really amazing room on the first floor with views over the river.

Beer, wine, food and hospitality all of a high quality. Its in my top 3 pubs in London and believe me, that is praise indeed!!

im sorry but after my last experiance with the blue anchor i will not be returning...I had decided to try the pub and i was put off straight away, the pub itself was extreamly small so i moved to the seating area which consists of a few small benches this could hold about 15 people as a maximum.

the only thing i found in this pub that was not small was the price i have to say the pub is nothing special and after seeing students from the school i work in being served withought id i will not be returning.

if you want a real pub head next door to the rutland its a much nicer bigger pub with freindly staff compaired to this dump

I visited here on a very crowded, hot day. Although busy, the staff were very helpful and swift.

Blue Anchor is lovely little pub. Very friendly, great food good value. Would definitely recommend.
