The Bolt Hole does exactly what it says on the tin providing a cosy and intimate haven away from the hustle and bustle of the Square Mile.

The Venue
The Bolt Hole is set on Suffolk Lane and is within easy walking distance of Cannon Street, Bank and Monument Tube stations, making it easy to get to from wherever you are in Central London. The interior is warm and cosy and the exposed brickwork, curved ceilings and sumptuous red furnishings give the space an intimate feel.

The Atmosphere
Mostly used for business lunches or after-office drinks this Square Mile bar is typically filled with suits from Monday to Friday and gets very busy after 5.30pm. The bar staff are polite, friendly and helpful when taking both drinks and food orders. The atmosphere is fun, friendly and great if you work in the area and are out with work colleagues.

The Food
The Bolt Hole's lunch menu is not your typical pub food. The menu is a little limited and broken up into wraps, melts, salads and sandwiches which are priced by category. A brie and cranberry sandwich sets you back £4.95, so it makes a great lunch venue, but if you're looking for some real comfort food it may not be the place for you.

The Drink
The wine list is extensive and the bar also stock a good selection of spirits, beers and even shots for office workers looking to let their hair down. A large glass of Pinot Grigio costs £6.20 a glass, or £18 a bottle. House wine starts at £14.95 and it should be noted that the Bolt Hole offers 30 types of wine by the glass as well as Champagne, naturally. If a pint is your calling, get stuck into large glasses of Becks or Peroni (from £3.40 a pint).

The Last Word
A great place for suited-and-booted office workers to enjoy lunch, after-work drinks or even a date. It has a cosy and intimate feeling created by the exposed brickwork and plush surroundings. Definitely one to try, especially if you're a City slicker.
