Fulham Roads own exclusive club caters for the elite crowd in Chelsea; however, it is more an upbeat club than chic cocktail bar and should definitely be saved until later on in the evening.

The Venue
Bondai can be found secreted amongst the hustle and bustle of Fulham Road, it’s black exterior providing a exclusive cloak. Rather than garishly shouting its presence, Bondai subtly blends into the background awaiting your entrance. The bar itself is nicely decorated with a Japanese theme; soft lighting, cosy furnishings and intimate corners help to set the ambience of the room whilst the backdrop of tropical fish sends tranquil vibes throughout the venue.

Bondai also boasts a VIP room, hidden behind a wall of tropical fish and is complete with its own Fridge ready to be stocked with a variety of spirits that can be bought by the bottle.

The Atmosphere
The atmosphere at Bondai is less chic cocktail bar and more upbeat club. So don’t come here if you want a quiet night of drinking cockatils. Instead, this is the place to come if you want to party the night away in the safety of one of the most upmarket areas of London.

The Music
The music at Bondai doesn’t quite seem to compliment the surroundings as the loud house music being played echoes through its chambers. A more suitable soundtrack may have helped with the ambience of the place. However, this is a great choice of tunes if you’re out to let loose and hit the dance floor, just bear it in mind for when planning what type of night out you want.

The Drinks
Cocktails are where it’s at in Bondai. Drinks are made with flair and panache, but beware - the price of drinks are set at the higher end of the scale, as you‘d expect from a venue like this in Fulham. There is an impressive selection to choose from, including a notable choice of Mojitos and, for the more experimental drinker, a rather more risque range of Sake Cocktails.

The Last Word
Bondai is a Gem waiting to be polished. So much is right with it, but just remember that this isn’t quite what you might expect from an upmarket Fulham cocktail bar and take it for what it is - a fun club to party the night away in.
