I love Boom Bar, its one of my favourite bars in Clapham, the weekends are fab. I loath going to town and having to take a mortgage out for taxis, drinks; paying £15 for DJ's who can't mix. Boom gives town a run for its money any day. I booked an area at no cost, bought tasty nibbles for my party, sweet waitress service all night and had the best birthday party in years, try beating that!
I love you Boom, especially the two tasty managers...um!

Boom is a fantastic venue in which to stage a party, you can reserve seated areas free of charge to accommodate a party between 5-200 people (which is what i did for a works do, i was able to pre-order drinks and food). The food situation is superb, they have chosen 3 local outlets (Fish Club, Tucci Tutto, Yum Yum) to provide fresh fish and chips, pizza of the highest quality and Chinese. The novelty here is that Boom makes no money on the food as the customer pays the takeaway price.
I love Boom it's trendy without trying too hard and the clientele are friendly and attractive!!

Boom is cocktail-tastic. Forget the beer - there's a really small choice - but the cocktail list is amazing. Boom should warn you about the resulting morning after hangover though!

I have one word to describe Boom Bar - atrocious! Boom Bar is currently on its sixth manager. The venue itself is ok, not done up too much but still comfortable, the crowd is very yuppified and that's rich coming from me. The staff however, are so rude I was ignored and served after all the men. The waitresses flirted with both my friends and my husband and the food looked so shrivelled that we left it, as the manager said he wouldn't replace it (even though he had replaced the meal for the table opposite us already). Not only that, the toilets were all broken and there was a revolting smell at the side of the bar. If you're after a nasty drink, bad smells and crap service this is your place, if not I recommend the Common Rooms just down the road.

I have to say that the changes that seem to be occuring at Boom, are very encouraging. I was at an evening for food tastings, and if that is a taste of things to come, then come we will! It's always nice to find a venue that offers good quality food, pukka drinks, good sounds and hopefully some new friends!
