Very nice setting for grub...And that's about it! Service was generally good but we were served by 6 different waiters and they were generally falling over themselves.

They could let 50% of the staff go and there would be still too many! The staff were friendly though!

Food - Hugely disappointed. 3 of us each had different starters and main courses. I had the steak (dry to the bone) + chips - yuk! My missus had the fish platter.

Far too many sea snails (does anyone eat them other than French people?) My missus went for the raspberry soufflé - it was like Angel delight - and i don't mean any disrespect to angel delight - if it had been angel delight she would have been happy enough.

2 nice bottles of wine consumed. When our bill came it was £240.00 for 3 of us. They included £25 quid for the service (honestly it wasn't that good).

If anyone really thinks that this restaurant is great then get yourself over to Bistroteque off Cambridge heath road and get French cuisine the way is should be cooked and you wont feel like you have been mugged when you leave..

This is a really exciting concept. Its fresh, vibrant, sexy and very shoreditch. Its the perfect venue for a Sunday lunch with a date or for entertaining that special client. The food is quite french and a bit heavy, but there is some great crustation options. Service is typical shoreditch - a bit too cool, but that's OK. The beautiful people make up for it.

Disappointed. Hyped-up decor & funky art was actually bland or non-existent although lift was fun.

Service - except for one waitress who noticed we were being ignored and leapt in from another area - poor/inattentive and uninterested.

Wine waiter left us alone after pouring first glass and putting bottle out of our reach. Only other staff bright spot was cheery doorman/lift man.

Not impressed by food either, sadly. Chef seemes to think potted shrimps mean putting over-peppered shrimps in a pot and leaving them to fend for themselves.

Skate was tasty but so drowned in butter I felt a little ill. Spinach side dish also swamped with butter.

Mint tea was fresh and delicious.Odd location for this type of restayrant - no element of funky Shoreduitch - most customers 50 and above and wealthy business types when we were there (weekday evening).

Not very busy so pity staff could not be bothered to make more of an effort. I noticed that tables with wealthy-looking males got lots of attention - as opposed to us two females.

Advice? Avoid restaurant and go to laid-back, friendly and much more enjoyable accompanying Albion cafe for lunch.

After reading a piece in a newspaper, I took my wife to The Boundary for her Birthday. I have to say, we were both really impressed with it! The menu was varied and had something for everyone. The quality of the cooking was exceptional, the service brilliant and the actual restaurant is stunning!

Wine, a glass of champagne and 3 couses each only came to less han £150 which I think is great value.

The chef even signed a menu for the wife to cap off a memerable evening!

Just thinking of another excuse to book! Valentines perhaps?

Went here at the weekend after reading the review and have to say that I was really impressed with the food and interior - Shoreditch has got sexy for the over 30s finally!

I've already booked a table for Valentine's Day but think in general it is one to wait to visit until after pay day. £150 for two people although that did include 3 courses each for me and my girlfriend, cocktails at the bar and a bottle of wine. Think they may have a cheaper lunch menu that may be worth checking out though if you're a bit brassic.
