We had a lunch in De Ville yesterday, great steaks and my wife loved Grilled Prawns and Mussels!

Poor service, average food, pricey. Better options in the area.

I went to De Ville restaurant a couple of weeks ago with few of my friends and I am reserving this restaurant for my family celebration.
Food was amazing. Traditional French fish soup was one of the best I have tried and my girlfriends and I have ordered second sets of desert (needles to say we were on the diet, but we couldn’t resist). I am ordering this chocolate suffle next time I am at the restaurant.
We were sitting on the outside patio next to the river, music was playing and it really felt like we were somewhere in France. Even waiters were French. Service was very good: food came at our table in a timely manner; we were served very quickly but at the same time we didn’t feel rushed. None of us had to ask twice for a bottle of water or kid’s juice. Even our hostess was wonderful: she talked with the kids and showed them around the restaurant.
I am highly recommending this restaurant.

Me and my wife live and work in Canary Wharf and recently we found out about the newly opened restaurant Brassiere De Ville, so we decided to go and dine there yesterday on the 18 of June. When we arrived, hostess kindly informed us that the menu was limited at that night, so we went trough the menu and decided to stay. I must admit, that the restaurant is very modern and stylish and atmosphere was great! Although the Menu was limited our Caesar salad, Confit Duck and Crème Brulee for desserts were mouth watering with very professional service! After 6.30 pm we were told by the waiter, that England game is about to be shown and my wife agreed to watch (which was very unusual :)))we decided to order some Australian dessert wine (the choice of my wife :))),which turned out to be very nice! All in all we had a pleasant night, so will definitely be coming back next week to try meals from their original Menu!

Went there last Friday with two friends for dinner. At 8pm, thought it was strange we were the only one's in the restaurant and it remained that way for the next two hours. Lots of people drinking outside. Food was good, but when a waitress dropped a knife and broke a wine glass, we simply asked for the wine to be replaced. The manager got very rude when he tried to give us a glass of wine from their 'by the glass' list, rather than giving us a glass out of a £20 bottle. The wine finally arrived when we were almost done eating, after asking for it 4 times to eat with our steak. When asking for service be removed, the manager really didn't like that either. Final straw, when asking for a comment card (which they don't have) the manager asked why and I said that we didn't appreciate the way he handled the situation (especially given we were the ONLY people in the restaurant), he stormed off. With all the other new or newish restaurants that have opened in the area, no reason to go back there.
