Bricklayers Arms used to be my local and I have some affection for it. But I'll try to give it an objective review. The drinks are cheap, because as a Sam Smith's pub, there are no brand name drinks. But this isn't a bad thing, as they are comparable to their well known equivalents. The pub itself is split into three sections: front bar; darts area; and upstairs bar. The downstairs area with the front bar and darts area are nothing fantastic. The upstairs makes up for it - it's like having your own lounge in the centre of London. Open fire, sofas and armchairs make it a very cosy place to be - especially during winter. But get here early as it does get very busy very quickly. Downsides? Toilets are a bit poky. Generally though, Bricklayers Arms is a good place to visit if you're in the area, but maybe not one to go too far out of your way to visit. 7/10

A quality gem hidden from the public. Workers and locals gather for a quiet quality Samuel Smith pint. Busy at peak times but early in week, quite cosy. open fire upstairs, big social tables with sofas around upstairs, darts out back. Friendly staff. All round good pub. But do get there early.
