what is the point of this site , when i write an honest and frank review and it gets removed ! why bother
Good and bad aboot thess bar. Music was most funky and jolly upstairs but then I fell over and couldn't get up but then people were walking over me so I could see up their skirts and luckily not all of them were Scotsmen. Result!
I too have mixed feelings on the Bridge Bar, working and living in the area it is only natural that we will end up in there every so often. It used to be a good laugh, normal amounts of attitude, but decent for people like us who just want to go out with their friends and have a laugh... The last few times we've been there however it seems to have turned into a wannabe wags hangout!! The girls in there now seem to have more attitude than the bouncers (who I agree could do with some lessons in customer service.) ..
The place itself has potential, with decent music on both levels but for some reason some people think they deserve to be there more than others!! And I agree with all other comments that I am definitely glad these guys dripping in gucci and prada were turned away, although if they'd got in I'm sure it would have given a few of us a good laugh!! Stop taking yourself so seriously, you're in Beckenham in Kent!! To the comment re: estate agents please do not tar them all with the same brush, they don't all go out with "reddies" falling out of every pocket, believe me I live with one!!
I have mixed feelings as to The Bridge Bar. The music suits all ages due to the two different floors. Old Skool Classics upstairs, and then Funky House & Garage downstairs. However..........
If you want a place that is FULL of IM GOD thinking Doorman then this is the place to visit. They are VERY picky with the guys that go, and the power of being "The Doorman" goes to their heads. If the face doesnt fit, you are not getting in.
Girls most ages get in due to the lack of clothes that they can look at. Atmosphere is generally good, although be prepared to be pushed and shoved alittle throughout the night as they completely use every spare inch of floor space packing people in.
Word of mouth is their biggest advertising tool, but with the attitude of these doormen it is quickly losing its appeal!!!!!!!!
I couldn't agree more with the comments left for the gucci/armani/prada boys.....I bet you're the complete wan*ers that have 28" waists and drink champagne cos you think it makes you look cool...........how wrong you are.....If you have so much money spend it up town with all the other billy big sh*ts!!Anyway....If you are in your late 20's, 30's I'd say this place will suit you the best, upstairs are 80's disco classics and downstairs sees a return to some good old dance & garage tunes, def a place to go to remember music from the good old days!Have fun (I hear the doormen turn away arragant flashy men so girls, your safe!!!)
