Had a very disappointing meal here last night. Food was mediocre and service below par. The waiter sat down at our table while taking the order - obviously feeling a bit too comfortable. Then we were forced to vacate the outside table 10 minutes before we had been promised when we arrived - and not offered a table inside - making the end of the dinner very rushed. And the icing of the cake was when we wanted to pay. As we had been forced to leave our table outside we had to pay at the bar. The bar staff was too busy showing off to the girls and asked us to come back later to pay – unbelievable.
In terms of food, the Starter was fine (pate of foie gras – cant really go wrong there) but main courses were so so. Thai curry and prawn linguine was over prized (£18 for a pasta.....). Desserts was semi cold (obviously rushed out). On a positive note - the wines was good value for money.

Would we recommend it? No - in short, Brinkley’s is overpriced and staff too arrogant. So many better placed in the area. Avoid!

Have been to Brinkleys twice on business visits to London. Wine list is extensive and varied.....good. Food is tasty and reasonably priced..... good. Atmosphere, lively and interesting .....good. Compulsory 12.5% service charge on drinks and food, not good! I prefer to tip as I see fit, not have it as a demand! I cannot understand why the management would want to alienate their customers with such a horrible bully-boy tactic of imposing a service charge whether people like it or not, regardless of the service that has been provided, which in my case, was abysmal.

If you want reasonably priced food in the heart of Chelsea then look no further than Brinkleys. The atmosphere in there is lively and the food tasty.

Brinkleys has been a favourite of my family for years, and long may it continue to be so!

My friends and I dinned at this place on Sunday and while the food was good and the atmosphere very nice when we refused to pay all the of the 12.5% service charge (simply because we didn't have enough change and didn't want to put £1.50 on a card) the waitress and then the manager became incredibly rude and aggressive. They stated that the 12.5% was compulsory and that we would have to pay this before we left. It left a rather sour taste in our mouths and spoilt what had been a very good afternoon. Not what one would call excellent customer service.
