Extremely rude bartender and staff there. I would never return to this place!! Booths are so close together, you can barely move around, I went to a pub Notting Hill after this terrible pub experience and had a much better time there!

My husband and our eight month old stumbled across the Builders Arms yesterday and I have to say we were very impressed. The menu and food were good, the atmosphere good (the rugby was on), the staff were very friendly and made our baby feel most welcome.


The decor was just the way we like a pub/bar to be - nice and comfy and kind of lived-in looking. The Builders Arms has a nice mix of clientele and good draft Stella!

The Builders Arms is no longer a student bar, it is now far better than that. The Builders Arms offers a good selection of beers and ever changing real ales, and a very extensive food menu.


It seems that its main clientele are now mid 20s and are interested in food, and hanging out with there friends in comfortable surroundings.

The Builders Arms is a friendly easy going pub. The main room is light and airy with comfortable sofas for lounging. Don't be misled by the description - 'student' nights/friendly - it is not a typical student pub, it's more upmarket with a jovial mix of suits and students. There is a more romantic upstairs room too. Sporting events at Builders Arms are a must - it gets noisy and the atmosphere is kicking!
