I went for the first time last week it was at capacity so we had to wait for a little bit, but when we were inside..

..i have to say it was grt everyone was friendly...bit of a maze finding everything but still grt funcompletely different the rest of the west end...

more of a quirky house party friendly vibe....

It's really disappointing reading all these negative reviews. Bungalow 8 was designed as a small exclusive club to hang out with your friends and have a drink.

If you're looking to pull or get shit faced go to one of the other "member's" clubs that let anyone in as long as you can pay 20 quid.

That way you can hang out with the disgusting chavy people they attract as they aren't exclusive. Nights when it's busy at bungalow and it always gets busy late are some of the best in London.

I go out almost every night but find the professionalism of the staff great. It's nice when you pay more for a drink and know it's going towards getting a nice drink from a trained bar man or buying a table that you will actually get service on.

The problem with Bungalow 8 is that it's targeted by a lot of people who haven't been able to get in and are simply jealous that they read about it in the papers.

If you go to Bungalow 8, bring some friends who you enjoy hanging out with and if you get a busy night, and believe me there are really busy nights, then that's all the better.

Btw, i don't work there, I just enjoy a place that has great service and is thankfully exclusive.

It's a nice place to hide from people intent on taking millions of photo's of their noisy friends. - Report

this place is extremely overrated! ive heard outstanding publicity and reviews on it but was EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED. the security people were friendly but refused to except anyone in unless they were with a member, wouldnt except my PASSPORT ID, even though im 21 had a huge row, eventually let me in. all z list celebritys with barely any crowd, the music was baaadddd hip hop and rnb and the prices of drinks were ludicrous! a glass of white wine was £16 and a bottle of water £6. PLEASE DONT GO THERE LOOKING FOR A NIGHT OUT! however if youre lucky enough to get in to the VIP area, that looked and sounded great.

I'm guessing you haven't made it through the door- there is no vip area in bungalow 8...

Oh and I don't think you get the idea of a members club-as the name suggest you have to be a member or be with one to get in - Report

I went to Bungalow 8 on Saturday 16th May. Firstly there is no vip area.

Secondly the only way you will get in is with a member or if you go early if you are staying at the Sanderson or St Martins Lane.

Lastly drinks are normal club prices. £4.50 for a bottle of Peroni, £9.50 for a cocktail. Champagne is £70 for the cheapest.

A glass of white wine is not £16.I thought the music was good and the crowd was cool.

The staff on the door are ok but you won't be able to just walk in. - Report

The main problem with Bungalow is the massive division between upstairs and down stairs. Like most 'super trendy' clubs in NY and London, Bungalow does, unfortunately have to deal with an overwhelmingly tacky client base. the basement room is usually appropriated for this, and I agree can be really rather awful. The top floor is another matter. Unfortunately again for many people who visit the club, they will very probably be confronted with the same group time after time. This group however is a far more stimulating one. A group that is very much linked to the club's PR and events facility, as well as the fashion and music industries.

Recently the christmas party showed just how brilliant Bungalow can be - a festive lock in, the top room heaving with over a hundred people who pretty much ALL knew eachother, only a couple of tacky 'celebrities' compared to the tens at Movida, it was a fantastically welcoming and exciting atmosphere. By 6am a thouroughly good time had been had by all present!

Being friendly with the management and door staff, I can only say that the below criticism of "designer outfit door staff" is frankly ludicrous. I suppose some burley bouncer with a balaclava would be more appropriate? If I had to deal with the same massively boring euro/eastern cavalli trash night in night out, i'd think i'd be pretty shitty too.

Yes the club has become exclusive in such a way that it is infact exclusionary, but as some one else quite rightly put it. it is a members bar, and functions as a lounge. Go to Fabric if you want hoards of idiots beaned off their faces on a wednesday night...

Very good attempt to cover up bad publicity. Upstairs bar in Bungalow 8 is like Browns Bar, only EMPTY. Downstairs has z class celebs once in a blue moon. Movida is trashy, I wouldn't argue with that. But to be honest, they don't make you feel crap at the door either. My membership ran out autumn 2008. I'd rather buy myself Gucci slippers than waste another £300 to renew my membership.
I pity those who are spending New Year's Eve at Bungalow 8. Plenty of nicer, classier clubs have opened. I won't mention names as the management at Bungalow 8 only presume it's a rival club. Just face it, you have done yourselves no favors with the way you run it. FACT! - Report

I am not surprised that the staff at Bungalow8 have sat, put their thoughts together and written some long, not so diplomatically put reviews. It must be embarrassing reading what a flop the club is after a year of opening.

For a start, people who go to Bungalow8 clearly have the money, otherwise the snotty unprofessional door people wouldn't give them the time of day. In fact most people who go there probably earn more in one day than their management/staff do in a month. If people are complaining about the price, its because they expect a good night out in return for their £600 worth of drinks.

Sadly, the place is over rated. It is too small, too dark and the management have thought too much about their designer outfits and not enough about their customer relations.

Of course it's busy late at night....It takes 10 people to make that place busy. Sadly, you'll be lucky to see 5 people there on most evenings in the week.

St. Martin's Lane had its days....long dead and Bungalow 8 was history before it even opened.

Since I've been coming to Bungalow the vibe has changed. It used to be deathly quiet, but it seems sticking to their guns on the door policy has paid off, because the crowd are super cool, and not in a full of posh way like the other uber night clubs, the crowd is eclectic and full of music, fashion and art industry types on top of a really top notch party crowd. If you go late in the evening it is always busy. Go earlier if you want a more peaceful drink.
This club has been getting better and better, and the staff are so friendly I find I'm going here every week at least once, I just can't stay away. They treat their regulars exceptionally well. Having been a member of other clubs, I think the membership is good value and well worth it.

"the crowd are super cool, and not in a full of posh way"

"I think the membership is good value and well worth it."

I love it when employees of clubs try and patronise their own establishment on this site.

Their rank idiocy is so apparent when compared with the articulate posters ViewLondon thankfully attracts.

the door is not exclusive, and given how empty it was it can't be, what vibe wasn't quashed by lax door was killed off with poor choice of music with no attempt to mix, over priced over rated and most unfortunately over here. B 8 NY died 2 years ago, this import was past it's used by date before it opened.
